Hi, I'm Laura!

Lola Belle Designs began in 2016 with hand lettering.

At the time, I was creating hand-lettered pieces, illustrations, art prints, and wood signs. I sold my work at a few local markets and online, where prints and stickers found their way into the hands of people who loved them as much as I loved making them.

Then life got busy. I took a step back from my business to focus on my family.

A few years later, during a season that required a lot of sitting, resting, and recovering, I started drawing again. Somewhere along the way, I stumbled upon surface pattern design — and it felt like I had discovered a little bit of magic.

I've always loved to draw, but creating an entire scene or telling a whole story in one illustration could feel overwhelming. Then I discovered that I could draw a handful of flowers, berries, leaves, or little bits of everyday inspiration and turn them into a seamless repeating pattern.

That was it. I was hooked.

I've always been drawn to beautiful patterns on fabric, stationery, and everyday things, and realizing I could create those patterns myself opened up an entirely new world for me.

Inspired by the Little Things

I grew up on a berry farm, so many of my favorite memories naturally find their way into my artwork. I love drawing the things that feel familiar, nostalgic, cheerful, and a little bit whimsical.

Today, I'm a stay-at-home mom who homeschools my daughter, Ali. She's incredibly creative herself and can absolutely out-draw me when it comes to cartoon cats and fashion designs.

Some of my favorite days are simply spent with my husband and daughter, working on projects around our home and property.

Art Made to Bring a Little Happiness

I created Lola Belle Designs because I wanted to make it easier for companies and product designers to discover and license artwork that feels personal.

Every pattern starts with an idea, a sketch, or something that catches my eye. My goal is for the finished design to feel like there was intention and joy behind it.

More than anything, I want my artwork to make other people feel a little bit of happiness when they see it.

Maybe it's just a pretty pattern on a notebook.

A cheerful fabric.

A package on a store shelf.

Something small that makes someone smile when they see it.

That's what I'm hoping to create.

Thank you for being here and for supporting my little corner of the creative world.
